At Rideon, we aim to make every ride smooth, safe, and reliable. We understand that sometimes plans change, or unexpected issues may arise. This Refund Policy explains when and how refunds may be provided for rides booked through our platform.
Refunds may be considered under the following situations:
Ride Cancellation by Driver
If a driver cancels your confirmed booking and you are unable to get a replacement ride through Rideon, you will receive a full refund of any prepaid amount.
Driver No-Show
If your driver does not arrive at the pickup location within the scheduled time and you are charged, the full fare will be refunded.
Payment Errors
If you are incorrectly charged due to a system error, duplicate payment, or technical glitch, Rideon will issue a refund of the extra amount.
Service Quality Issues (case-by-case)
If a ride was completed but there were serious service issues (e.g., wrong driver, unsafe driving, unclean vehicle), partial refunds may be considered after investigation.
Refunds will not be provided in the following situations:
Customer cancels the ride after the free cancellation window has expired.
Delays caused by traffic, weather, or events outside the driver’s control.
If the passenger is at fault (e.g., incorrect pickup location, no-show at pickup point).
If promo codes, loyalty points, or referral rewards were used — these cannot be refunded in cash.
Refund requests must be submitted through the Rideon app > Help & Support > Refund Request within 48 hours of the trip.
Our support team will review the request and notify you of the decision within 5–7 business days.
Approved refunds will be credited back to the original payment method (card, wallet, UPI, etc.) within 7–10 business days, depending on your bank/payment provider.
Rideon reserves the right to approve or deny refund requests based on the circumstances.
Any abuse of the refund policy (e.g., repeated false claims) may lead to suspension of the user account.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected in the app and on our website.
